The snow in the driveway is about a foot deep – I’d already shoveled almost 8 inches the day before! The mounds on the side of the drive and the road are as tall as the mailbox, about 3.5 feet (Check out the duck on the porch...he’s as tall as the humps of snow, and porch is about a foot in the air!). This was Thursday morning, about 7:45 when I’d finished shoveling to get the Cruiser out to go in for my last day! As for when I started...let’s just say the snow is really pretty by starlight =). Of course, when I got to work, some chick, some really bundled guy that obviously knew me (I’m not good with recognizing only eyebrows) and The Man were the only ones there....because IU ACTUALLY CLOSED!!! (And there was a snow emergency in effect...but there was no way that IU was going to demand their sick time money back because I didn’t show up from FMLA when I was supposed to on a technicality – paranoid? A touch.)
The snow has gone no where...in fact, I haven’t even seen a plow since Thursday. It’s so freaking cold here that snow melt doesn’t even work (the low last night was –9. Without wind chill!)
